Software Developer (Full-Time)

Orion Network Solutions is looking for an critical thinker who excels in a dynamic work environment, learns quickly and has a passion for innovative technologies. This role will be supporting frontend web services which reach over 9 million pageviews per month as well as the vital backend processes to ingest data.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or greater in Computer Science
Bachelor’s degree or greater in a related field

Experience Requirements:

2+ years web oriented programming (PHP and JavaScript)
2+ years experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS preferred)
2+ years experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL

Desired Skills:

Bash

GIS Specialist (Full-Time)

Orion Network Solutions is looking for an detail oriented GIS Specialist who can create innovative solutions to ingesting and serving big datasets, excels in a dynamic work environment, can adapts to evolving datasets and has a passion for innovative technologies. This role will be supporting both front display of GIS data via WMS/WFS and the ingest, storage and accessibility of various model datasets including both raster and point based (i.e. Shapefile, NetCDF, Grib, GeoTiff, etc).
